The last virus that affected this many people occurred over 100 years ago. This isn't some pansy assed seasonal flu. This is the real thing again. That last time humanity "masked up" was 100 years ago with the Spanish Flu. The estimates are that around 500 million, or at that time a third of the entire population of Earth were infected. Over 50 million people died. This isn't just "something else out there". Their problem was that they didn't take it seriously enough. This is projecting along the lines of the Spanish Flu. The difference is that we have science on our side this time. Science and knowledge of the past. We can get ahead of this by addressing it properly.

Hopefully "your" herd is tiny and allows the rest of mankind to handle this situation with appropriate measures.

I'm sorry, but I have seen far too many people be medically affected by this who were otherwise healthy. Maybe if you had experienced a death or two you might be more concerned yourselves.

It's why I take issue with your stance, and not Rugby's. Rugby seems sincere and humble. I think people are more than willing to listen to him.

But, I admit I am biased because I have seen how you adopt the cheaper tactics that are utilized in our society today. To be more specific, when I first came to this site you tried to label me as a "racist" without any basis for that smear whatsoever.

You were not successful, at least in part because the members of this board are familiar with how you can be -- at your worst. That's not to say that you are totally without redeeming qualities, but I think you have to realize you can get carried away.

You made those allegations publicly, so I think a public apology is overdue. Admittedly that takes some courage, so we will see if you are up to that.

If they had the science and the aggressive approach we have had to date including all mandates then their death rates may have been proportionally low.

They were incredibly far less informed back then than we are today. Today it is only a minority of those that are either ignorant to the dangers or that care nothing about others that continue to put others in danger today than they experienced back then.
