this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Here is a spotrac.com proposal for a Daniel Jones $40 million a year deal just to show the structure I proposed for Carr and the Saints. Note the low year one cap hit, but Jones would still get $52 million ...

Here is a spotrac.com proposal for a Daniel Jones $40 million a year deal just to show the structure I proposed for Carr and the Saints. Note the low year one cap hit, but Jones would still get $52 million in cash in that first year with only $12.5M counting toward the cap. Subsequent years all carry a roster bonus that can be converted to a signing bonus and further prorated, if need be. That's the Harley/Loomis principle.
