Short arms or how he does in Cincy isn’t the concern. He produced pressure on the QB totaling 13+ sacks. Those are the size thirteen and a half shoes needed filling.

And there is no doubt that there are feet ready to fill those shoes. I have little doubt that the combination of Davenport, Turner, and Granderson will have most everyone forgetting about that small blip of success that Hendrickson had on the Saints' radar.

I don't see why being a fan is something that needs fixed.

That all seem very reasonable to me. I also expect a good deal of Turner in the rotation, along with Granderson.

Years ago, when I traveled met a senior Brother in my fraternity who was both a hockey and football coach - needless to say we hit it off immediately...

Particularly, he appreciated some of my out-of-the-box/return to tradition thinking for our fraternity as he did the same in the sports he coached...

One thing he did and it showed some success, was he'd rotate his defensive linemen wholesale, as they rotate the frontlines in hockey...

His thinking was that by the middle of the third quarter, his defensive line(s) would have more stamina than the offensive lines he was facing...

He only got into trouble when he'd come across better lines that could expose his team's lack of depth; those schools up north were amazingly huge to here...

Last season and this year, believe with an aging (and it showed) Cam Jordan, that the Saints will need to rotate DEs often so the pass rush stays fresh four quarters...

That'll be a good thing to get into a situation where we draft a new DE every other year and don't have to commit so much cap space to one player...

It worked for New England...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

A lot is going to depend on the big boys in the middle. Penitrait the middle, collapse the pocket. I don't believe one second Davenport has even looked close to his draft status. Give up what had to be given up should have resulted in an immediate impact player.

When not battling injury he has looked extremely impressive. One thing to note is that due to his strength against the run he has played a high percentage of early downs. While Hendrickson excelled this past season as a pass rusher (2nd in sacks) he was only tied for 103rd in the league for solo tackles and 112th in assists.
