I've been pulling for the underdog for a 35 years (the Saints). Not gonna stop now. And there ain't a damn thing wrong with it.

Anyone pulling for Hill....I say hell yeah! And if he doesn't get the nod at QB, I hope he makes the whole team rethink their rank and file at their position. Because he makes them all look expendable.

Nothing wrong with cheering for a true athlete and a true sportsman.

PS. AG can kiss my ass.
Sounds good. I’m not pulling against Hill by any means. As I clearly stated I have no preference in who wins the starting QB race. I love Hills game as the gadget guy and think he is most effective in that roll. Just my opinion.

On another note, most of the NFL watching world and half the people on this site have written Winston off after his 30 Int season. The Saints are paying Hill more money, and Hill got the starts in place of Brees last year. I would argue that Winston is the underdog in this scenario. And if you are going to pull against a guy because he played for another team you are going to be rooting against a lot of guys. I think it would be great for the Saints to win the SB with Winston, kick Tampa’s ass, and cram it to Ariens by beating him with the QB that he let go!

You think you know, but you don’t know...and you never will! Coach Jim Mora

Honestly, whilst Drew retiring makes us worse, I'm excited to see what the team, specifically the offense, can do.

I hope Payton opens up the offense a bit and gets the QB, whoever it is, to push the ball down the field, rather than dump offs or check downs.

Dude he let him go and got TB. Keeping Crabby Partty and not taking TB would've been absolutely absurd. Lol. 1 season and he delivered a SB.

Oh, I would have done the same thing. I’m just saying if Payton could take Winston and go on a 5-6 year successful run that would be a thumb in Ariens eye.

Over the last couple of weeks on NFL Radio topics have included looking into the teams and their prospects for 2021. More than not have said they expect more out of the offense than what we have seen the last couple of years. Injuries to Brees had a lot to do with that, but so did injuries to Thomas and others. Most felt Winston could give more of an explosive dynamic which has been missing. What will be missed is Brees' leadership on and off the field.

That is where Kamara and Jordan and D Davis can hopefully fill that void. y all accounts it seems like those guys have the character to do so.

Winston is the Saints future

They started Taysum last year to see what he was made of and to hide Jameis

May the best man win! I don't have a dog in this fight. When Winston got here I was totally against him playing QB for the Saints. I wanted my man Hill to win it. But upon further reflection I think Winston may be able to fix some of his issues and Payton can fix a few more. If so Winston has the potential to at least be a transitional QB while Payton continues to look for what amounts to Drew's replacement.

Hill excels at his Swiss army knife role and does it better than anybody in the NFL. I like him in that role and if he loses the nation will still enjoy watching him do his thing on game day. May the best man win win!

Those were the three I was thinking about mainly. The other was Malcolm Jenkins.

What good is having a Swiss Army knife if you don’t get any qb play? I say give him a chance. If he wins the competition good for him. If not, go back to playing every position in the field. I do however feel at this point I’m their career he is better than JW.
