Re: Observations from the Saints Gutty Win Vs Bucs
When you play good special teams & sound defense, you'll always have a chance. Saints have both.
Shout out to my guy again. Blake Gillikin - 3 punts on yesterday (158 yards/net 144) 63 was the long & 1 inside the 20. He's booming em. |

If Payton really didn’t trust Jameis over Trevor then Trevor would be the starter. The game plan was the same before and after Winston got hurt. Be aggressive and test the TB DBs. |

Bruce Arians is an overrated HC. Brady has made him look good. |

Absolutely! He has been carried by QB's his whole career and repeatedly attempts to take the credit for any success personally while placing blame on his players when things go south.

Re: Observations from the Saints Gutty Win Vs Bucs
The post-game presser where Payton makes the point about scoring mindset I don't disagree with entirely.
The problem is you need to run high percentage passes that are essentially running plays that keep the clock going forcing the usage of timeouts by the opponent. All 3 plays looked like fire drills and were rushed and seemingly low percentage play calls. I'd have to see the plays again to see what was called but it wasn't real organized looking at all. You leave the GOAT with 2 timeouts and a gamble that Def can stop them (like they did) just doesn't seem smart. I'm more surprised no one mentioned here how Payton noted for 2 straight home games the crowd noise was sort of garbage. Called the Who Date Nation out outright to be louder. |
