The fact is that when we lead the league in dollars over the cap every offseason and have to work miracles to balance the budget that involve a cycle of us leading the league again the next year, we put ourselves on the defensive in the offseason just trying to plug holes in the ship while our competitors are improving thenselves. We had a winning season but missed the playoffs. Cincy took our best pass rusher and made the playoffs. Buffalo took our best receiver and made the playoffs. I would hate if we lost our best personnel man because we had to keep the guys who are an expert in cutting lines at the payday loan window.
