I'm curious JP why you have T. Hill listed as a QB when DA has said he'll be working as a TE going forward?

FYI ...

Patriots are adding former Saints WR Lil' Jordan Humphrey to a 1-year deal.

Good luck to him.

Fin, saw that press conference with DA and am aware; but just that as the Saints update their official roster, have been doing same to reflect same...

And the Saints still have him as a QB; he may not be QB1, QB2 or even QB3, but he's still listed as a QB and that's what they've got doc'd with the NFL...

The delay in reporting may be another case of the Saints playing their cards close, seeing how Book does in PreSeason, if he's worth keeping or not...

And it's not even close; would love to have had someone with talent during the Dome Patrol Days when Toi Cook was featured; maybe 49ers lose a couple more...

Absolutely.

No separation at this level and you’re limited as a WR.

Working hard strengthening that injured leg.

It's worth indulging Guido to read the comments on twitter. I'll just put this one here:

Some are saying it's the wrong ankle. Honestly, I can't remember which side and I did some brief googling without finding the answer. Others are wondering why we don't see a face. It is a little suspect that the video looks to purposely cut off the head and face.

Ha! I posted after that clip showing him sprinting from about 40 yards away that it probably wasn’t even him! I was joking at the time, but now 🤔

Doesn't matter what he posts. Haters will say it's somehow fake. We will know when preseason starts. Once they start playing, it'll be hard to hide the truth.

Those people are just more haters, turbo. Thomas had both his surgeries on his left ankle. That's very common knowledge. And the video was shared by Nick Underhill who is perhaps the most reliable of all Saints related journalists. He wouldn't be sharing it unless he was 100% sure it was legit.

Your 100% correct. Once they start playing, it will be hard to hide the truth. Can he still perform at a level he was after 2 years is the question?

I doubt it but if he’s 80% of what he was, he’s still very good

Boston Saint 06-18-2022 10:54 AM

Re: Michael Thomas Progress

I’m fully pulling for Thomas to come back to the Saints 100%. I hope he is a better receiver than he was in his record setting year and he helps lead the team to a second Lombardi trophy.

I’m also a realist. He hasn’t played a game in well over a season. Since he got the big contract he reportedly ghosted his coach, FO, and training staff. He got into a fight with another teammate and got suspended. He didn’t have his HOF QBs back on social media. Now he’s still not healthy and more is known about Winston’s status (who makes himself ready for interviews and has several clear rehab videos) than his because all we’ve see are two videos that don’t
even show his face and Allen saying he’s “rehabbing”.

I appreciate the time he's putting in now but I wish he had stayed in touch to get the proper treatment. The man lost a lot of fans and I'm one of them! I won't be happy with him until he proves that he is a team player. Until then I've got him on a short leash ready to take him to the trade table.

I want someone playing for the team who cares about more than just themselves. He turned into a Diva like his uncle Keyshawn. That's just selfish and I don't like it. I'm not a hater but I'm deeply disappointed in how much effort he put into avoiding the training staff, which was little to none!

Yes, I still have a problem with paying him all that money to not be available because he solely chose not to answer the damn phone. :argue:

Hit the nail right on the head Rugs.

When he was a rookie I was wowed by his determination and how hard he worked, but the success he had early on has really gone to his head.
Cryptic Tweets, arguing with NFL players because they didn't include you in their fictitious scenarios, ignoring coaches calls whilst being paid an absolute ton.

When Brees left, Thomas had an opportunity to be the "Cam Jordan" or "Demario" of the offense and lead by example, which he didn't do.

I personally don't think he'll ever get back to how he was before, and therefore think we need to move on when it's financially viable for the team to do so.

Allen seems to value the WR position, one can be found that values team first.

The hate is great.

The man's a proven stud on my team and until we see him play this season I have no reason not to expect the best.

I'm hearing more negativity here related to what is perceived as a diva attitude than what he can do.

Got a question. What exactly, and I mean exactly, has Michael Thomas done that can be clearly labeled as a diva type act? Not saying anyone's lying, but I'm just having trouble identifying those clear diva moments.

You and I started jousting about the same thing in the thread above. You continue again with a new thread and you act like anyone that doesn't share the same sentiment is off their rocker. Continue on with your mancrush, but it is obvious not everyone shares in your positivity, face it.

Again, if by some miracle he returns to form without Brees at the helm, I will gladly eat a big plate of crow.

While there isn't a lot of coverage on the Saints nationally, players turned analysts like Marcus Spears and Dan Orlovsky have been pretty consistent this offseason saying watch out for the Saints in the NFC.

National media drives eyeballs and clicks by questioning what they see. The question they ask about the Saints is whether or not Winston is the Winston from Tampa Bay 3 years ago, the Winston in the first 7 games of last year, or possibly something else. What the media is consistent about is that they will question, and question, and question until you actually deliver. And then they will start questioning again right after that.

You could see this in the past few weeks and this week with the NBA. The drumbeat question was "Will Steph Curry be considered an all time great if he wins a 4th championship and finally wins the Finals MVP?" this question was asked each and every day. It comes to pass on Thursday. The question on Friday?: "Can the Warriors repeat as champions and can Curry win another MVP?"

It's just how their producers operate. Frankly, it gets old after a while. But it is the reason the questions in the NFC are always "Can Dak and the Cowboys...?" "Can Arod and Green Bay...?" "Can Brady do it again?" "Can Philly climb the mountain again?"

The Saints used to be on that list with Brees because of the 2009 SB Win. But Winston is promise unfulfilled with the nation media. So, they will continue to question until that question is answered.

It's always best to just ignore it. I generally just treat it as background noise in the mornings...

Got a question. What exactly, and I mean exactly, has Michael Thomas done that can be clearly labeled as a diva type act? Not saying anyone's lying, but I'm just having trouble identifying those clear diva moments.

Once again Guido, there is no hate, just a deep lack of respect and disappointment for a man who gladly cashed his checks but refused proper medical treatment and advice from professionals thinking he knew more than science. It's not that I hate the man but I hate what he did to the team.

And before you counter let me remind you that he was paid to be on the field and he poorly chose to go with advice outside the team Dr's, which I don't hold against him. I just wish that he had made at least one good decision between not getting the advised treatment or at least answering the damn phone.

He is not a team player and anyone who played team sports known the importance of being a willing member of the team. I don't hate him but I seriously dislike him. I don't hate Eli Apple either but I put them in the same class. They don't deserve the support of the Saints and their fans. I understand your undying support of Saints players but "Come on Man." He is not the same team player I grew to love. He may be the same player, and I hope he is, but I'll never look at him the same. He's been a detriment to to the Saints lately and I will not forgive him. I will never like him again even if he produces top numbers again.

He reminds Me of Steve Smith who hit his team mate when he wasn't looking and broke his jaw. I don't think he ever played again, although I could be wrong about that, but I'm definitely right about Thomas being a Diva jerk. :argue:
