LOL! Just because you hold a grudge doesn't mean others do. Michael Thomas shared his love for Payton and Payton in return when Sean retired in a Twitter back and forth. Thomas and Brees did the same. Garner-Johnson, the player that provoked him in practice, and Thomas have also shown clear signs that they too are close. They even called each other "twin", which rezburna pointed out is extremely high praise that isn't just thrown out there casually.

Also, Payton was already seriously considering retirement well before the Kamara issue. Jay Glazer, Payton's close friend, said that Payton was showing signs wanting to shut it down prior to the 2020 season.

Why is it so hard to understand that most people do not hold onto minor differences like that? It is basic human nature to forgive and forget.

It looks like California hills in the background. I know that Dennis Allen went to California to spend some time with Thomas back before OTA's.

Just cause you have your lips pressed to Thomas’s rear doesn’t mean people on the team do. It’s called putting the best face on things and trying to work together despite a difficult situation. It behooves nobody to let their true feelings show. Thomas won’t help his cause by acting more like a jerk, especially when he is now maybe the third (or 4th if OBJ is signed) best WR on the team. Allen isn’t going to risk showing how disappointed he is in his “star”WR who he is trying to motivate to get on the field and possibly trade eventually. Payton is auditioning for future jobs and isn’t going to make himself look bad by expressing his true feelings and bad mouthing an ex player of his. And likewise Brees isn’t going to further vent his frustrations…he knows it’s a losing battle on the pro-left social media world and won’t help his reputation after his perceived failed stint in broadcasting.

Human nature to forgive and forget? Yeah I guess that’s why Hakeem Nicks is just dying to resign with the Saints 🙄. Guess that’s also why Kamara and his crew beat the crap out of a guy…because they were so forgiving and forgetful of his actions.

Point is neither one of us knows anything about how other people feel about a situation. You saying others have let it go is no more valid than me saying they’ve let it fester.

Hakeem Nicks? The former Giants and Colts WR? Perhaps you are alluding to Akiem Hicks. A perfect example of what I was pointing out! Thanks!

Akiem Hicks finally burying the hatchet with the Saints

Quote:

“Do I appreciate how I was cast aside?” Hicks told Nathan Smith for ChicagoBears.com. “I wasn’t good enough to play for that team? No, I don’t appreciate those things. You never forget, but you can’t carry hate in your heart, you know what I’m saying? I would also say that, man, you just appreciate those moments. I wouldn’t say it loses its luster.”

But now that he’s had time away from the organization and reflected on the lifelong friendships he made there, he’s ready to approach Sunday’s matchup as if it were any other.
And it's not me that's simply saying they have let it go. They have demonstrated that. You are the one claiming to know what they are feeling without any support. That's on you, my friend.

:D

And claiming that Michael Thomas is the 3rd or 4th best WR on the roster?

:roflmao:

Guido you have ZERO self awareness. You said in post #120

“ Sean Payton, Dennis Allen, and the rest of the organization moved on from that and it's no longer an issue with any of them.”

That’s claiming to know what they are feeling without any support. Yet it’s wrong when I do it, huh?

You made that post and got all preachy before I made my comment. The fact that you are egotistical enough to think that you know what everybody in the entire organization thinks about Michael Thomas says a mouthful! Then you try to pin something on me that you already did in the post. Classic case of Guidoism that you are doing more of now without saintfan here.

And in your link he even says “No, I don’t appreciate those things. You never forget…”

So, no he hasn’t forgotten. And this was after 6 years. Yet you claim everyone in the organization, including Payton, have moved on after less than a year.

Not everyone is as bitter as you, Boston. And there IS support that they have moved on as I demonstrated. Sean Payton, Drew Brees, Dennis Allen, AND Garner-Johnson have ALL demonstrated publicly that they share a healthy, and even fond, relationship with Michael Thomas. Just because you choose to remain bitter for some illogical reason doesn't mean that others are going to fake healthy relationships for no logical reason. You want there to be animosity for some reason so badly that you do your best to project it as best you can. I simply do not see what YOU have to gain by hoping that there is turmoil and angst where none is apparent.

Once again, I have had enough of you and your constant need to take a contrary opinion and start an argument over anything I mention.

Goodbye.

One example of Guido's attitude in this thread:

In post #130 he says, "I have had enough of you and your constant need to take a contrary opinion and start an argument over anything I mention."

That's blatantly false. In post #115 I gave my thoughts on an article you posted. No argument, it was an honest interaction. Also in post #96 I make a positive comment about Thomas in response to a post you made. No arguments or attacks. Two quick examples in this one thread, Yet you twistedly think I am always attacking you. Thats called playing the victim.

Most of the stuff you post I leave alone.

Funny how as soon as SF leaves he goes right back to being a little ***** . SF’s posts may have been annoying but Guido was on his best behavior. It showed the entire board that Guido possesses the ability to be somewhat civil but chooses not to because he enjoys the attention.

Some guys get fired up and play up to their jersey no. - Mathieu always seemed to do just that...

Can't say the same for Marquez Callaway - He has no business wearing the No. 1 jersey...
