I should give him the benefit of the doubt and hope he coaches better within the halls of the locker room, but then I see the temperament of our team on game day and it's clear he doesn't have the pulse of his players or assistants.
This is his answer to reporters. Who knows what he is telling his team. Do you deny that had a ball or two been caught, or Ingram not blown his knee one yard short of a first down, or the refs called hold in the 4th quarter the outcome would be different?

Read this back to your self. You’re advocating that if only one of a couple things didn’t go wrong the outcome of a 16-17 game might have been different. You may not realize it but your expectations are so low for this team that you are arguing that one less failure might equate to success.

There was a time when we could discuss all the things done right that lead to success.

I read it again. No, it means I am aware the difference between a W and L is razor thin. When the refs work against you it’s even thinner.

When the difference between a W and an L is razor thin it’s one of two reasons, either both teams played great or both teams played equally like sh1t. I’ve yet to see great football this season so that only leaves one option.

Rationalize as you need.

When the score goes from 16-3 to 17-16 with 3 seconds left on the clock, it is clear that a poorly coached team handed the thin razor to Tom Brady. We have reason to grieve.

And if you don’t realize the refs allowed several holding calls go you don’t know jack sh*t about football.

Maybe we can get a Ref to retire and come be our Head Coach!

Careful with that one, it calls into question what you know. There is some degree of holding on every play of every game.

This! I was about to point out the exact same thing as I was reading through all of this same old stuff trying to catch up.

Coaches don't tell reporters the same thing they tell their players. That is a fact and always has been. I spent several years the sports media arena and have seen the different messages sent to players and to the press. Quite often they are dramatically different. Grasping on to some 'coach speak' and taking it as gospel is naïve.
