He had a rough start to his career but he's usually a reliable/nasty player. He's going to mangle some LB'ers this year.
Yes, Penning had two penalties all year. A false start against Atlanta in December and a face mask against the 49er's. Nothing out of the ordinary though. By the way, that face mask call was offset by a SF penalty on the play.

What do we do with 16 million dollars though? Save it for next year? I think not. Loomis doesn't save money. He moves it around. Maybe a trade is in the works and we are ready to pick up his contract. I could get onboard if it's the right player. Who would you like to trade for? I almost started a thread on this topic.

I'd love more football but as it stands, this is ridiculous.

Can adding a second bye week solve the issue?

The flexing issue isn't adding any additional televised games. They're talking about moving a scheduled Thursday game late in the season to Sunday and replacing it with a previously scheduled Sunday game. Players and coaches don't like it, but it really screws us fans over bigtime. When you have a trip planned for a Sunday noon game that gets flexed to Thursday it would be extremely difficult to make the game. You'd have to take off work, reschedule hotels and/or flights. If you couldn't do that not only would you be forced to miss the game, but you'd have to try to sell the tickets. Thursday night tickets are not as desirable as a Sunday noon game for the same reasons as above.

The NFL doesn't care about the fans. Just their money!

On the whole, yes, but they are getting pushback on this and one of their strongest owners, John Mara, is making pretty much the same argument against the flexing that I shared above. I heard yesterday that there may be at least a couple of owners that were originally in favor of the flexing that may be changing their minds after getting major blow back. They had 22 in favor at first. It takes 24 to pass the flex proposal.
