The physical is a vital step in the contract process. The contract does not become final until the player passes the physical. I have heard that many times over. If Davenport doesn't clear that physical it can cost us the potential 4th round compensatory pick.

Older player (will be 32 in July) & a step slower. Had only 20 rec/174 yards & 0 tds last season with Brady as your QB.
The Saints need to get younger across the board + Juwan is trending (7TDs vs Brate 0) upward. DCarr is in the building now. Give Juwan more opportunities (targets) in 2023. |

I also don’t think Brate would take any targets away from Johnson. If anything it just adds some veteran depth for the inevitable Adam Trautman injury. I expect Johnson to start and get a lot of passes thrown his way.
