Re: Saints Pick 3.08 - RB Kendre Miller
And you can find a quality RB in the 3-4 rounds of the draft as well. Just watching his high-lites he reminds me of one of the great RB's from two decades ago, Curtis Martin. Same build, same style. It's just a comparison. I'm not saying that he's the next Curtis Martin but I'm certainly warming up to this pick.

Re: Saints Pick 3.08 - RB Kendre Miller
Honestly, I'm liking this draft so far.
I will give DA credit, I think he better understands which areas are lacking, whereas Payton just used to draft 7 safeties and an OL / DL and then call it quits. I hope the view is to get back to that 3 headed monster at RB. With Kamara, Williams and now Miller, that should take a ton of pressure off Derek Carr. |

This guy is a good RB but this pick has me scratching my head a little. Aside from the obvious that Kamara will likely face some penalty, I am still on the fence with this move. Although when I watch him he reminds me a little of Pierre Thomas who is one of my favorite Saints backs. He also has a great average after contact.

The offense was completely anemic last year, Carr is good but he can't do it alone, he isn't Brees. Surround him with a good running game to take some pressure off, with change of pace backs that can all catch the ball and break tackles. If Carmichael can get his head out of his rear, im very excited to see what the offense can do. |
