If we were to cut Kamara it would cost us more money than we save to part ways with him now. Then we would need to find another RB which would cost us even more money. I believe we need to hold on to him this season and then look at his contract next year when it's cheaper to trade or cut him. I've mentioned this before, but I believe you can tie Kamara's reduced production over the past couple of years directly to the massive number of injuries to the offensive line and QB's. That all had to have had a detrimental affect on both Carmichael's playcalling options and Kamara's output.

The trouble is we go into 2023 with basically the same oline but a year older. We added some mid round pick and a journeyman 1st round bust but we did not proritize the position. Kamara still depends on Peat, and unfortunately for him the Saints are not a hot dog eating contest team.

Do you really think that's fair though Bako? Penning is in his second year and was hampered by a stupid team induced injury injury so far. We don't know what he is going to bring to the table this season. Plus we drafted and signed new depth. I know it's your nature to criticize, but this is a reach even for you.

Kamara is going to be made an example of by the league. Imo I think he’s gone at least 6 games, maybe more.

I wouldn’t be worried if AK can run behind that line. I’d be more concerned with the other RBs and if the line will hold for Carr. I think it will. But we need more depth.

It wouldn't surprise me if Kamara had a great season. The guy is just different than most football players.

There's a few issues, however and we all know what they are. Will this team stay healthy, will Kamara be used appropriately, and how many games will he miss due to legal issues?
