Hopefully Payton Turner (another former 1st Rd DE selection) can get over this injury bug. He's been injured a LOT.

Looks like we could have Kendre Miller back Monday.

RPO with bubble screen action for Olave/Shaheed
RPO with slant action for Thomas
5 Wide Sets
Motion Olave and Shaheed EVERY play. It tips off coverage and can allow them to end up in a mismatch.
Use Olave and Shaheed out of the backfield A LOT more.
More Trips-Bunch sets.
Put trips to one side and have MT alone by himself to the wide side of the field. Let him body those corners.

That'll make the pass rush ineffective.

It seems like a lot of NFL teams are sitting back in Cover 2 and Cover 4. That's two deep safeties. I've been seeing a lot of 7 and 8 men in coverage. Passing lanes are tight. Spread that zone out.

Re: Week 2 - Saints @ Panthers

Key to the game…don’t screw up with Turnovers. No Shaheed fumble on opening Kickoff. No stupid passes by Carr. We came so close to losing last week because of not securing the ball. Even the last drive to secure the win had a fumble recovered by the runner.

Blocked punt, Shaheed fumble, Incomplete pass called on Carr’s throw, 4 ints total in the game (I think). All these add up. Look at the Eagles/Vikings game. How many TOs were needed for Minnesota to lose that game.

We have enough talent IMO that if we don’t shoot ourselves in the foot we win another one score game.

You think you know, but you don’t know...and you never will! Coach Jim Mora

I don’t know if you saw the post I made during last game rez, but I asked your opinion on when, and why players decide to put in their mouthpieces an any given play. Do you have any thoughts on that? Appreciate your input.

Sometimes you just forget. I would take mine out in between plays and stick it in my facemask and start talking or playing around then just forget to put it back in. I don’t think it’s intentional.
