And if you look back at the 2017 draft there are a lot of what-ifs. TJ Watt was drafted 2 spots ahead of Ram, and Cooper Kupp was drafted 2 spots behind Kamara. While we missed on Maholmes we could have taken Watson who was also elite earlier, and who could have known Watson would become a sex offender and that Maholmes wasn't raised that way and never could (except that his brother did)?

In general I think if you have an elite franchise QB its best to try to win it all with them not use high value picks for a long term replacement plan. There is no evidence that drafting a QB of the future before your elite QB of the present leaves the building accomplishes anything more than running out the priors rookie contract sooner. It happened to work out for the Packers but for example the Texans had an elite QB in Watson, waited until he was gone, then drafted an elite QB in Stroud, and they get Stroud cheaper for longer at a younger age to start winning sooner.

Mahomes vs Mr. Irrelevant.

Two successful franchises that can win in different ways on Sundays.

Can't wait.

Maybe you need to get you a time machine and go back where someone gives a damn.

Let's see what the current Niner's passing coordinator & soon-to-be Saints OC Klint Kubiak dials up tonight vs Spaggs-led defense.

Purdy is looking very UN-Carrish so far.
