Lol, oops. I agree with NBC though ...

Just looking at yesterday's games (specifically the Chiefs/Bills), you have to have a surgeon @ QB who can make all of the critical throws & decisions in crucial moments. Mahomes is that dude.

Josh A fumbled and missed open WRs too many times late.

But I still think the Raven's defense will be the difference next Sunday. And that guy we passed up (Action Jackson) in the draft for Davenport

will make enough plays & get Baltimore back in the SB.

Can't wait.

Mark Cuban said many years ago the undoing of the NFL will be caused by pure greed. If any of these game throwing theories are proven true, the fan base would likely rapidly erode. As they say, we shall see.

The fan base is being replaced by people who pay good money to be entertained, even deceived. It’s a new world.

There are so many hands, and eyes, involved in everything to do with the NFL that game fixing or throwing is impossible. There would have to be hundreds, if not thousands, of individuals in on the scheme to make it even theoretically work, and it is totally impossible that every single human individual with knowledge of anything nefarious would be able keep things under wraps for even a brief minor incidence, not to mention farther reaching undertakings that would have to last weeks, months, and even years.

The NBA had their officiating scandal back in 2005-2007 that was exposed by the gambling industry. That only involved a handful of people and they couldn't pull it off. The casinos have a far greater interest in the legitimacy of the games than all of the stakeholders combined. There is a whole industry that was developed by the consortium of gambling entities that does nothing but monitor all sports that are involved in wagering 24/7/365.

The way any Pyramid Scheme works, is that each individual works in a focused manner, in their respective compartmentalized field, seemingly independent, and innocent enough, yet well coordinated to bring about desired results for the compartments above them. How could they “all be in on it”? Easy. Everyone simply carries out their specific task and follows procedure. You not wanting to believe that that’s how it works, or not understanding it, is exactly what makes it work so well.
