I guess this means that our national anthem is only for white folks. Personally, I take offense to that!
I don't think blacks have lobbied for the playing of Lift Every Voice and Sing at the Super Bowl or any other games. I believe it is the NFL pendulum swinging "fro" after years of "to".

Personally I didn't see an issue with it either way. I'd be curious as to what our black friends here on the board feel. The subject has never been broached with my black friends.

The NFL is trying to act like they care again about social injustice. Much like, they did when they were getting sued for head traumas and covered their asses by accusing the Saints of bounty hunting while the protecting the shield.

I just don't understand why this country has become so divided on nearly every issue. It's all about pitting us against them to get your group riled up to follow you into action. What happened to the United States as a collective working together?

Also I'd really enjoy reading rez's thoughts about the black national anthem. I respect his opinions and would like to see what his views are on this subject.

The media is as much at fault as anything else for that division. The other main factor is the advent of the world wide web. All of those biased ideals get spread further and faster than ever before with little to no validation. That's all happened within the last 25 years or so.

Yeah! I've watched the world unravel at an alarming pace in the last 25 years too. Thank god I don't have any children growing up in this mess.

Loving the first possession by both teams. Chiefs shutting down the Ravens 3 and out and then driving straight down the field for an opening TD. I never had anything against the Ravens before being in the dome when they came in last year. Their fans were those most obnoxious I have ever seen. From that day on they moved up near the top of my most disliked list.

Saints have a TON of work to do.

Above avg QB, opportunistic defense, big nasties in those trenches ….

And coaching.
