None of them are championship quality. Not a single one.

It's scary how spoiled you guys were with Payton and Brees. Thinking that you can just go pluck another pair and kee it rolling.

Hell even Payton couldn't make a lot of headway without Brees in either of the two organizations that he worked for after Brees retired.

As for the Succs, we totally dominated them in a must win game for them. Not championship caliber by any stretch of the imagination.

I was there in Los Angeles on that Thursday Night. You might want to cue up the highlights, if you can stomach it. It was a must win game for US, and we got outplayed, outcoached, and BEATEN by what you call a “mid” team.

See, I don’t have to dump on my Saints. They do it to themselves, and if I just let you run with THE FACTS, you’ll be doing it too. You cannot escape reality, my brother.

If you are right, then I hope not. Because if you are right, the Saints in 2024 tanks, looks terrible doing it, and everybody gets fired. And I'll be here to talk about that 2025 team in whatever form it's in.

But if I'm close to being right, then we'll be right back here again. Typically it's changes in personnel (players/coaches), schedule, and health that causes huge swings in the outcomes of a season. The schedule pendulum didn't swing far from last year. So, unless the team looks like a MASH unit, they likely won't tank.

But you're the one that says stop with the woulda, coulda, shoulda. You should do the same. Loomis had his chance to fire Allen in January. He did not do it. It is done. The die is cast. We're going into the season with who we have.

So, it's pointless at every turn to point out what the Saints shoulda done. But you do it with every post you make.

We won’t tank. And as much as I dread being right, we’ll do just well (mediocre) enough to continue to reshuffle Raider-Refuse and undeveloped/underutilized pieces around in a disorganized and disoriented manner, so that I’ll just have to copy and paste what I’ve been writing for three years, in my discussions with you next year.

Your truth. Mine is the Saints are a mid team right now with decent health, and a quality win here and there can win the South, get into the playoffs, and possible make some noise.

But I don't spend each and every day trashing that situation here like you do. You are dissatisfied with that. And I do understand. But none of us need to hear it day after day after day after day.

Kubiak is that coach now. Whether or not he can do it we will see.

But it's going to be trail by fire. With 3 division games and 4 games against playoff teams in the first 6, how well this offense functions will reveal itself very quickly.

Why do you need a few threads for you main points:

1. Allen sucks and needs to be fired.
2. Carr was an awful overpaid pickup.
3. Loomis has the entire organization in disarray.
4. The current Saints suck and will be terrible in 2024.

You can have 1 single thread and cut and paste this each and every day along with whatever national media piece of the day that echos any of those points.

The real problem is that if anyone, anywhere here post anything other than those points, you are immediately there to "correct it" by dumping these points in that thread. That's what's got to stop.

Could we do the opposite? If we create a sunshine pumper's thread, will you stay out of it? I note that this exact thread is supposed to be one of those.Yet, here you are.

I'm somewhat misrepresenting my position. I don't really want the complaining to stop. But I do want the heckling, which is complaining in every thread that is not a complaint, to stop.

How can we do that?

You don't get how mentally draining it is to see trash about the team I follow in a community I've been a part of for more that 20 years each and every day.

It's unrelenting. And worse it's futile because nothing is going to change before January at the very earliest.

It was a terrible game and the team was never in it. Allen and Carmichael was out coached at every turn. I saw it to the bitter end the first time. I don't need to see it again.

But it, just like all the offseason decisions the team made are in the past. If there are no adjustments, then the defense will get lit up by Dallas and KC, and likely Atlanta (as much as I hate that) with a quickness.

We will have to see.

You are only here to talk about how terrible you think the team is. And to not allow anyone anywhere here to talk about the team in any other way. That heckling is the terrorism I refer to.

I get that you are incapable of seeing the team any other way. But that doesn't give you the right to dump on anyone else who sees things differently.

Way back when you said YOU DO YOU and I DO ME. The problem is that YOU doing YOU prevents anybody else from expressing any opinion whatsoever about the current team here. That has got to stop, no matter how badly the team seems to be.

If I could prevent you from expressing any opinion, I would certainly give it a try at this point, but I obviously can’t. At the same time, I wouldn’t want to, as I am a strong proponent of Free Speech. I would simply prefer that you expressed more of your opinions about THE SAINTS, and less (or none) of your opinions about ME. REMEMBER… THIS IS A SAINTS FORUM.

That would be unfortunate. I'm actually with you that if the Saints do not make progress this season, then Allen needs to be dismissed.

The question becomes what then? My feeling is that we need to swing the pendulum back to offense. Ben McDonald of the Lions would be my likely target. But then the entire defensive staff needs to be revamped. That's going to be tough.

It's not about expressing an opinion or not expressing one. It's about the fact that no one can express an opinion here without your heckling.

I want somewhere here to go where I, and others, can express out opinions and you won't follow to heckle. Posting something as simple as "The Saints will go 10-7" or "Carr will throw for 30 TDs this season." cannot survive without a "The Saints are disorganized." "Carr is leftover trash from the Raiders." or something else trashing the team.

You don't want anyone to say anything about this team other then they suck.

Can I get you to agree to one spot here that you will just simply leave alone? Then you are free to spew whatever trash you want anywhere else.

If you won't do it, please tell me why. Why is it so damn important that you have to dump on every conversation everywhere on this site?

Because the season hasn't started yet. As we've been discussing there are a lot of ifs. If some of them come together it won't come to that.

If the team has a couple of devastating injuries, it might.

You want total and certain domination ending in a championship. This team isn't there. But each season there's always a puncher's chance.

But you won't let anyone express that anywhere here.
