And supposedly the weakest link, Pete Carmichael, is now gone and the offense is replaced with one that's more QB friendly and systematic.

The Saints 2024 season is going to come down to a handful a games that are realistically toss ups:

1. The Dallas, Philly, KC sequence in the first 5 weeks. Realistically the team could come out of that 0-3. Getting one upset here, especially on the NFC side, would go a long way towards being sucessful.

2. The 3 division games in the first 6 weeks. 3-0 is doable as the team last year went 3-0 in the last 3 and dominated in the process. 2-1 is realistic. Anything worst and you're probably right.

3. The #2 NFC position games: Green Bay and LA Rams. This is the year where the Saints can prove they can compete with quality opponents and these are the teams in the tier they need to show that.

4. Cleveland. Another quality opponent.

They come out with these 500 or above and 2-1 in the division, they are well positioned with the rest of their schedule to get to 10-7.

It's realistic. The only question is can they execute well enough to pull it off.

See what you get from me when every comment isn't just trash talk?

Same team, same coach, same owner went 9-8 last year. What happened such that they could not win one more game than last year?

As for fans and mediocrity reasonable people make a choice between being a fan of the team that they have or stop being a fan. Both are fine. What is not fine is what you are doing, which is is you are no longer a fan because they are not a championship caliber squad anymore, and you are determined to take any fan that is willing to follow the team as it's constructed and dump trash on them until they stop.

The rest of us here have put up with this for far too long. Your whining about what the Saints are now is just pointless. It's time to pack up and go to training camp. There's no longer time or space here to have you guys trash dumping on a daily basis. That part of the season is over and done with.

Face it. You have the same team. You have the same coach. You have the same owner. You already know what the results are going to be. So, you can just leave and come back in January when the team, or coach, or maybe the owner may be different.

But dammit until then just leave us the hell alone in peace so we can talk about the same team, the same coach, and the same owner in our "mediocrity".

Super Bowl Championships: New Orleans Saints:1, Carolina:0, Atlanta Chokers: STILL ZERO

Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good.

Your truth. Mine is the Saints are a mid team right now with decent health, and a quality win here and there can win the South, get into the playoffs, and possible make some noise.

But I don't spend each and every day trashing that situation here like you do. You are dissatisfied with that. And I do understand. But none of us need to hear it day after day after day after day.
