Not really.

Win, lose or draw, Aaron was in high demand & apparently went to where he would be supported.

He will have a lot of input as to who will become the next GM in NY.

Gum smacking Mickey Loomis has been pretty arrogant and dismissive about the issues the team has over the past few years and I can understand where a candidate would want some assurance that there was a better partner to work with. This may be his ONLY chance as HC with the Jets.

I wish him well. He has a lot of work to do.

If we ever manage to get Loomis to resign/retire, this was a solid event in the timeline leading up to it. I'll take it.

We have Kai and Ireland waiting in the wings.

Looks like we're getting into slim pickins territory guys. Looks like our team is less than ideal because of the GM and the cap situation.

I wouldn’t say that.

Joe Brady
Kliff Kingsbury
Kellen Moore

Three good, young offensive minds out there.

Nobody put in a call to Brian Flores yet either. He’s probably blackballed though.

And still…Mike McCarthy is better than Dennis Allen.

Flores and KK out of that list. KK is still getting a check from AZ. Not sure he's motivated yet. He did decent with a shorty QB in AZ.

Mike McCarthy is far superior to DA. Looking at record alone, he's essentially Sean Payton.

Look, I'd love to have one of the young wunderkinds come in and revolutionize this franchise. But I wonder if we have the right GM to make it all happen.

It just feels like they'll want someone more proven, with HC experience and the vision for leading an entire team, not just the offense or the defense.

If we "end up" with McCarthy we'll all be happy because the Saints will be in the playoffs again inside 2 years.

I agree completely. McCarthy is a huge upgrade over DA. And he’s proven.

And....he's a GOOD coach.

Side note the rumors that AG wanted Loomis replaced are disturbing and also validate our thoughts about how professionals view him...

Nibbles, but no bites. Not sure we have the right bait to hook any of these fish.
