Joe Brady Kliff Kingsbury Kellen Moore Three good, young offensive minds out there. Nobody put in a call to Brian Flores yet either. He’s probably blackballed though. And still…Mike McCarthy is better than Dennis Allen. |

Flores and KK out of that list. KK is still getting a check from AZ. Not sure he's motivated yet. He did decent with a shorty QB in AZ.

Look, I'd love to have one of the young wunderkinds come in and revolutionize this franchise. But I wonder if we have the right GM to make it all happen. It just feels like they'll want someone more proven, with HC experience and the vision for leading an entire team, not just the offense or the defense. If we "end up" with McCarthy we'll all be happy because the Saints will be in the playoffs again inside 2 years. |

In the end, McCarthy had a down year, but Dennis Allen has never had an up year. But damned if Mickey Loomis didn't build Dennis Allen the perfect roster to have an up half month. If the Saints hadn't faced a conference championship caliber team that excels in the trenches week 3, maybe they could have had a good month. But with no depth, and so many old and fragile players, it was never built to last. |
