Re: Turning Attention to the Draft
Trey Amos - CB
Ole Miss Transfer from Bama to Ole Miss. Played in all games for 2024. Fluid overall athlete with loose hips and good overall speed to stay in the receiver's hip pocket down the field. Solid tackler who gets in the mix to play his position. Will front up ball-carriers to wrestle them down. Amos excels in press coverage, using his quick feet, lateral movement, and hand usage to control receivers at the line. His ball skills are notable, allowing him to high-point the ball and play through the catch point. Day 2 grades throughout. Potential impact player & year 1 contributor. |

Re: Turning Attention to the Draft
I was thinking the same thing until hearing more about him recently.
Everything I have been hearing from people that truly know and have either worked or played with father Sanders was how good and genuine a person he was. This actually came up on one of the NFL Radio shows a couple of weeks ago as it pertained to his son and wherever he ended up. I believe it was Bob Papa, the golf host and radio voice for the NY Giants that said Sanders' private persona is completely different from his public one. Papa said he was very caring and open and willing to learn as he was first getting a chance to call games when Papa got to know him. He said they've been good friends ever since. He said he had no concern at all about Deion being any sort of distraction. |

Re: Turning Attention to the Draft
Walter Nolen - DT
Ole Miss (A&M transfer) SCOUTING REPORT: STRENGTHS Explosive first step off the snap allows him to consistently beat offensive linemen into their set and dictate initial engagement - shows up repeatedly against both run and pass Natural leverage winner who plays with outstanding pad level and core strength, allowing him to control the point of attack and reset the line of scrimmage against single blocks SCOUTING REPORT: WEAKNESSES Can get caught playing too high at times, especially when fatigued late in games, allowing offensive linemen to get underneath his pads and control the point of attack SCOUTING REPORT: SUMMARY The tape shows a defender ready to make an immediate impact as a disruptive three-technique in an attacking front. Nolen's combination of first-step explosiveness, natural leverage, and refined technical skills will allow him to be a day-one starter in the NFL. His versatility to play multiple techniques along the defensive front adds significant value in today's multiple-front defenses. No major injuries As Smashmouth stated early, we need more beef in those trenches. Late 1st, early 2nd round grades |

Re: Turning Attention to the Draft
I think sometimes that Shadeur getting away from his Dad might be the best thing for both of them.
I just have a theory that a guy who coaches his son can either be too hard on him, or have too much faith in him and neither is fair. Not quite sure how to articulate what I mean, sorry if it doesn't come across. |
