He was thrown into an impossible situation where no QB would have won. He got beat over and over by defensive lines. I believe that if he were healthy and put on a talented team, he would win. Most people here don't think that. As you see, he had a good heart as well. Most QBs would nickle and dime the **** out of us, but he didn't feel right doing it. His tenure was unfortunate cause he never had an offense around him and stayed hurt, but I believe he truly cared about how the Saints performed and the outcome of the franchise. He got a raw deal from the fan base, as he was turned into our scapegoat, and still, he did everything he could to help the team.
Parts of this ring true, but a major portion of the blame has to go to Mickey and DA.

They overpaid for Carr and instantly made him a team captain. They treated him like Brees 2.0 out of the gate, which was unfair for all involved. DA coached and spoke with overt favoritism toward Carr, which hurt Carr's relations with both his teammates and the fans.

If they would've treated Carr similar to the non-descript way that Dalton was handled, a lot of misfortune and animosity could have been avoided. Instead, Mickey/DA put Carr in a situation where he was destined to be viewed in the worst light as problems arose. Only a special leader like Brees or Brady could've navigated all of this. Carr's not that kind of guy, and his interpersonal shortcomings got amplified.
