I noticed that too. He knew it. I knew it. We all know he's done for this year, and it just completely sucks.
Porter deserves better-- he should be part of the SB celebration. Maybe he will. still. Even though he'd be gold IR sweatsuit, he deserves to celebrate, if we go.

oh, and while we're playing IF's. How bout the Patriots this morning?
For twice in my life, (both yesterday) I am glad we are dealing with IS, and not IF.

You overcome a few injuries, and we have, but not 5 on one side of the ball, nope! We overcame that because of the team we played.

Agreed we need as many players back, absolutely. The one that hurts the most is TP

Scares the **** out of me
Most of the injured players on D will be back sooner rather than later. Clancy and Porter are the only 2 out for the season, and you can hardly say were missing Clancy because he really hasnt played much this season. We are going to miss Porter a lot, his ability to man up on a WR opposite of Greer gave Gregg Williams the ability to be very aggressive when he wanted to be.

Gay and Jenkins will have to step up their play for the rest of the season, and I have no reason to believe that they wont. Gay has played solid ball for us the past 2 season, although last game was by far his worst in a Saints uniform. Jenkins has shown that he is a playmaker, you can call him a CB, FS or whatever you want, I'll call him a playmaker. He looks a bit lost at times while on D, but there are going to be a lot more reps in his future and I expect him to come around nicely before playoff time.

DeMario Pressley and Hargrove have both played well in big Seds spot, and I cant even say that there has been a drop off from Clancy to Ayodele. Our DTs are all very young and still improving every day.

Injuries are a major part of the NFL, the last few games we have racked up more than I would like, but it is giving the younger players a chance to get more reps during the week and games. That could turn out to be a very good thing come playoff time.

Edit: Just read Porter will be back this season. That is great news!!

No, it hasn't. A good team would have beaten us. And Porter was in for most of the game. Bottom line is we have a lot to clean up before the Pats. If we want Dome field advantage for the plays offs we better not lose more than 1 or maybe 2 and right now we look capable of losing 4-5. gotta clean it up.
