Everything these two just said. REAL fans don't "check out" when things get bad. If you've been a fan this long, two losses in a season of 13 wins shouldn't bother you. smh

Agreed, although at this rate it could be game one of the play-offs.

I find it funny these "fans" can survive everything else with the Saints over the years and then want to "pack it in" in Week 15 and being 13-2. HAHAHA! My soul may be tortured for the rest of my life by this team but atleast I've came to terms with it and will not have my fanhood questioned. Suck it up, it's football

I'm sick of this abusive relationship and this black cloud hanging over my head for four months every single year.

You can only take so much. How's that saying? "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results".

I've just done the same thing over and over again for too long and I'm near the breaking point. My dad gave up on them years ago. He was a lot smarter than I ever gave him credit for.

Like I said, I'll stick it out the rest of the season, but I just am ready to be done with all of this. Win a Super Bowl, or end another season in misery. Either way, I'll be glad it's finally over.

I won't pack it in, as I haven't packed it in for 40 years with this team, despite mostly losing seasons for decades. But I'm really disappointed right now. This was a pathetic effort today. It was almost like the team thought they only had to play one quarter of football and they would win it. I just don't understand how they can be so flat at this point in the season.

Take it easy everyone. I was a Saints fan before this lucky run, and I'll be one even if it's over. Just the same, I understand the feelings and frustrations of those who've been disappointed in this team over the years. This year will be the single most disappointing Saints season of all time if we continue to play as we have been.

If anyone can be sympathetic to being crushed by this team, it's long time Saints fans. Those of you who are playing the "get the hell out card", you strike me as those who don't know what it's like to be destroyed by this team over and over again. If you've been a fan as long as I have, you understand the emotions those people are writing here and you also know that they'll be back and drinking the kool-aid again next year.

Which is exactly the point.....If you have been a fan as long as you state, you know how bad most of the years have been. We are 13-2, stinking it up like hell, but in the playoffs.... We still have a new season to play and as pissed as I am right now I will be in my same seat next week and for out first playoff game. I've damaged so many things over the year pulling for the Saints i'm surprised my parents did put me out when I was younger. With that said, I have cursed and said many other things BUT NEVER that I'm ready to move on....

No, the point is that by your description you've basically thrown temper tantrums over the Saints in years past - by definition doing things you wouldn't do or say under less emotional circumstances. They are doing the same thing right now. It's doesn't make you morally superior or a better fan just because you break crap instead of ranting and saying things you don't mean on a message board. Call them on it? Sure, but cut them some slack and recognize a kindred spirit. Only Saints fans have been through the ringer like this over the last 43 years.

From what I gathered he sounded pretty sure and calm. I never said nor thought that I was morally superior or a better fan(well after his post maybe a better fan.) Yes, while in my teenage years I've broken a few things, not out of rage, just not being aware of my surroundings. But to say you are done with this team, a team that still controls it own destiny, which is looking a little bleak right now, I just don't understand.

Temper tantrums.... That is the funniest post I have seen all year.... You are a better fan than he is... seriously.... you should have a jersey of your own, and the team should bring you out during introductions. You are by far the "better fan". maybe you should sing the national anthem next week. just because you have been through quote "hard times" doesn't mean you should come to expect it... And it certainly doesn't mean you should expect to get kicked in the face when you are finally standing on your own two feet. every man, or woman has his, or her breaking point when it comes to faith. faith only goes so far....

What's popular is not always right, and what's right is not always popular.....
