sure and we went undefeated the first 13 weeks but didnt end up undefeated.....we didnt have a top run defense because we couldnt stop it.....now pass defense......yep, sharper, greer, porter, and harper.....they can play the pass when we know the other team is gonna pass the ball

however.....even early we gave up lots of yardage on the ground

jimmy wilkerson.....46 tackles..6 sacks

charles grant.....44 tackles......6 sacks

upgrade? where?



they didnt last year.....the only DT we lost was clancy and hes not even on the roster now.....so whos the big bad DT thats gonna step up?



i love the optimism......not opposed to it......but the last late round DT we picked up.....pressley....is pretty worthless....maybe we overexaggerate the success of our coaching staff and front office in the late rounds? and again.....no success in the later rounds on defense yet

Not sure anyone can make total sense except for the Saints FO. They have the personnel plan...not us fans.

That being said, to use your illustration;

If you "believe" your brakes will be going out in the not too distant future and they come on "SUPER SALE" at Pep Boys, you might want to buy them in order to save mucho $$$$$ for the day when the brakes do go out!

You doubt and lack trust in Loomis, Payton, and Williams but then you opine; "loomis has been our GM since 2002 and hasnt been a huge success up until these past 4 seasons". I keyed in on "a huge success up until these past four seasons"! lolololol I guess it is how one defines HUGE? Building a team who has a long history of losing seasons and winning a SB IMHO is HUGE.

btw; Henderson's 2009 stats; 36 tackles (10 being assists), 3 sacks, 2 forced fumbles! And this is your answer to the problem you have with the Saints and their run D? In 2009 Hargrove alone had 42 tackles (10 being assists), 5 sacks, and 1 forced fumble.
