So, as it is now, Brees becomes a free agent at the end of this season, right? But with the franchise tag, it would keep him from becoming a free agent. So he wants to make a deal that would prevent the Saints from "tagging" him. Therefore becomming a free agent next year anyway. Am I correct on this so far?
Now, he is about to become one of the highest, or maybe even the highest paid NFL player in history, am I correct?. And it sounds like he may want more?

Someone help me out. Is this correct, or am I thinking about this all wrong?

Jerry Kramer is a ballsy SOB too. I don't hear many wanting him on their side.

I prefer my QB simply shut up and play football.

This is just leverage incase an extension isn't reached and he hits the free agent market when his contract is up. He's just leveling the playing field. He's not going anywhere and I don't know what the fuss is all about.

Its all totally clear now. Payton moves to Dallas, and is seen hanging with Dallas players. Payton and JJ have a handshake deal for Payton to coach the Cowboys next year.....and bring Brees with him. Its a total Willie Beeman Any Given Sunday deal. If Brees gets what he wants he can walk after next season and go with Payton to Dallas. These guys have been planning this all along. You read it here first....

To be honest...you have just put into ink what has been going-on in my head for quite some time, now. I'm sure that a lot of people around here could tell you that I have never been an avid fan of either Sean or Drew...but I have been hoping all along that I was wrong and everybody else here is right in falling in love with these two. I mean...I love what they have done but for some reason I just can't trust either of them. Could you trust a guy that kicks an onside-kick to start the 2nd half of the SB...when for the first time in history people actually wondered whether he would or not?

I do think that before it is all over we will all have some answers. Personally...I won't be really angry at either of them if they do decide to move their act west a bit. I'm sure, in their heads, they feel that they've all they can do here and more...and I would love to think that people like Drew and Sean could become satisified...but in reality I think they are just the opposite.

It is entirely possible that they both would like...hell, their ego's need...a new challenge...and all the money that comes with it wouldn't suck for either of them.

NOTE--

The preceding was only my opinion and not necessarily the opinion of this web site's employees & management.

Whether you think you can or think you can't...you're right!
