Time for a bit of reality

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; It's a plausible situation and this is a quarterbacks league... Also, I know that while I love many of our players, many of them are average at best and Brees play at quarterback makes offensive components better and erases bad ...

Also, I know that while I love many of our players, many of them are average at best and Brees play at quarterback makes offensive components better and erases bad performances by the defense. (Dwight Freeney, where has thou star gone without Peyton?)

A good example in history to learn from are the San Francisco 49ers; even though Montana, an average, pedestrian athlete but quarterbacking god was on top of his game, Bill Walsh (who Payton could draw comparisons) still went out and got Steve Young who was rotting in Tampa...

If I'm Coach P, I'm kicking Mickey and that scouting department in their ass to find me Drew's line of succession...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

I get the feeling Payton and Drew will probably leave at the same time. When Drew is done, Payton heads to NFLN or retires outright.
