I thought it seemed that they were keying on M.I. when he ran, like they knew it was a run if he was in. |

We don't run the ball because we cannot run the ball. We have had success on occasion, but I just don't think our line has the ability to run block with any consistency. When they have had success, all of our backs prospered, but mostly they don't have success. Ingram has run well in games when our other backs have run well. Its not like all of our backs are having great success except Ingram, non of them are able to run with any consistency behind that line. Plus Ingram being a rookie and having zero offseason may have something to do with his lack of success. Remember when coach used to repeatedly call run plays and try to force Reggie to run when he clearly couldn't, at least he is not doing that. I think he knows his line has its limitations and plays to their strength which is pass protection.

P.T ran good... then we got cute with the edge passes to Sproles with 2 and three Falqueens in front of him......we were ripping them right up the middle...still would like to see Ingram more sure of his own ability ...quit looking at the ground watch the line...he runs into his own lineman sometimes...
He is young and will get better...glad we have Ivory though...were going to need him... |

He was hit during the handoff 3 times. Edwards nailed him once 5 yards in the backfield.
He had some good runs in OT when the Falcons knew we were running. I'd be more concerned that too often he gets hit during the handoff. Somethings not right there. Are we telegraphing when Ingrams in? |

I think the lack of commitment to the run may be due to our defense.
