How about something like,

Congratulations to the Saints. They played a great game and won a hard fought victory.

I'm dissappointed with the loss but I'm proud of my guys for a giving it all they had in a difficult situation. Now it's time to move on and start working on making our team better next year.

Something like that? Instead of sounding like a whining little ****.
