I don’t care what anyone says, an outside coach is a must in this situation to me! I think Gruden or Mora would be a better option because Parcells does like total control but I think since he and Payton have such a close relationship he’ll respect Payton’s system. We need Carmihael to focus on offense and Spags to focus solely on defense. I think this could only add more depth and be a great thing for the Saints.

Obviously Payton thinks he's the best option for our situation so I'm OK with that.
I just wonder if Parcells is interested. |

My gut feeling is that Parcells may turn it down. Especially since all the hoopla has hit the TV and internet before they even had a chance to sit down and talk. Parcells is not a media guy at all and this situation would be a media fiasco

Another view point is that the Saits have arguably the most productive Offense in the league and have for a few seasons now.... No one has stolen him... They know that is Paytons baby. |

I really like this idea! Parcells will be basically "babysitting" and honoring the system Payton has in place. The OC and DC can concentrate on their jobs and you have experience providing a guiding hand. For Parcells, it's only a one year gig....he ain't going to need to put his stamp on the team.
It looks like the "cleanest dirty shirt" to me! |

I like the idea of Parcells coming on board for one year. He holds players accountable and will have them playing hard. This would allow Carmichael to focus just on the offense and Spags just on the defense. The head coach is going to have a lot on his plate this year, bringing in an experienced guy like Parcells would be a smart move.
