Re: Our Defense
Hard to believe that our D has actually become worse than when we has GW, even after upgrading the LB position
Couple that together, with shoddy protection, drew throwing picks like he's colourblind and there's your 0-2 I was actually very excited about our D, now I can't wait to see half of them get cut, even spags if this carries on |

Re: Our Defense
The only minor good thing about todays game is that we managed to put up 486 on the Panthers. The Panther defence leaked a lot of yards as well as ours! Just a thought!

While we are getting big offensive yards I think the stat is misleading.
400+yards sounds great but when every drive needs to be 80yards + we have to rack up yards. Just scoring on one drive per quarter gets us 300+yards. The D needs to at worst hold teams to a couple of fields goals during the game if it can't get teams going three and out. It's not like they need to keep teams under 17pts,anything under 27ppg and Drew will bail them out most games. |

Re: Our Defense
plus a LOT of those yards are coming when the Saints are behind by two scores. Very misleading statistic to confuse playing desperation "catchup" ball with having a controlling dominant offense like the Saints usually have. I"d even say about a third or more of the Saints points this year have come when the game is all but over, just playing catchup at the end, with not enough time to really pull it off. Two desperation drives at the end of a game can easily rack up 120 extra yards or more of offense with no real meaning on the outcome. because the other team is only guarding the end zone and the sidelines.

Re: Our Defense
the panthers followed the same plan washington did to this de. we were suckers to them selling us handoffs and the 2 running qbs made fools of our deline and de-backs. the buck stops here hopefully. and we can show better de. with conventional qb.

If we lose against KC, I'm cutting some holes in a paper bag.

Re: Our Defense
It all starts with rushing the passer and we simply can`t do that. I hope to see some more Wilson and Galette! Bunkley is the lone bright spot, with Cam Jordan getting better, but still not creating any pressure at all.

Re: Our Defense
It's not time to hit the panic button quite yet, although I hit it a few times during the Panthers game.
If we lose to the Chiefs though, Saints = Aints. |
