And you'd be wrong a million times. Harper isn't even close to being the problem with this defense. In fact, I'd say he's our 3rd or 4th best player on defense.

Re: Our Defense

I never knew that when Hawthorne and Lofton were brought in, it was to play DT. The line is continuously moving backwards into the LB's... It's not a scheme issue. I think it's a heart issue. They are getting beat by O lines that want it more.

The line is lazy! I wanna puke for using the reference I am about to, look at the Falclowns last night. There D is hungry! They play with a sense of urgency. Our guy's look like they are just going through the motions and don't have a clue what they are suppose to be doing. Jordan is the lone bright spot on the line.

And Galette has looked promising the few times he has seen snaps. I want to see how the defense handles a conventional offense, not these 2 previous option teams

He may not be the 2nd coming of Ronnie Lott, but he is absolutely serviceable as a SS.

I think all the D woes are a result of undoing the Blitz First mindset instilled by Gregg Williams. Give it until game five and I would guess we're going to see a vast improvement to what we see now.

Now excuse me while I watch replays of the last two weeks and puke...

Looking at free agent safeties available, Brodney Pool is a better athlete than Harper.
