OK, I just talked to my guy. He says this Connolly is a fake and nobody knows him but he's always spreading Raiders stuff every few months that never turns out to be true. The only reason he followed him in the first place was for a 49ers rumor that turned out wrong. He just hasn't ever cleaned out his Twitter account.

he actually used the word "catfish" and I'm probably not internet-savvy enough to fully know what that means, but anyway he assures me this guy is a fraud who just likes to stir things up.

Oak, my point is that Ingram played 13 snaps less than Robinson did and had a slightly better avg ypc (5.4 vs 5.2....I know it's peanuts)...also Ingram had what, 2 carries in the second half?

Correct. He is also extremely lazy. Best guard dog ever though. We have a lot of scummy neighbors. There are days when I almost hope somebody tries to break in the house. If they do they'll be leaving minus a limb or two. Maybe minus a face.

Agreed...

I've been critical of the trade for Ingram and his use, or lack thereof...

But you take Ingram out of the picture, well, you could end up with a Seattle Playoff game again where the RB corps gets thin, fast...

If we traded Ingram to the G'nats, we'd have to get a RB (i.e. Da'rel Scott) and at least a second round pick in return...

That's ridiculous... Losing Ingram wouldn't mean a damn thing. What has he done so far that Pierre or any number of undrafted RB's can't do?! The Seattle playoff game was a result of losing Pierre and Reggie... Well we have Pierre and a better version of Reggie in Sproles so how would losing Ingram hurt us? Ingram hasn't shown that he has any worth so far... Other than hypothetical situations where he would have to be better than Julius Jones.

In an alternate universe type case where we grow a pair and let em hang I'd almost dare to say he could be petersonlike .. He's gotten faster , wiser , stronger and taken virtually no hits thus far ... And he's been starving on the bench , if anything he's better now than when we drafted him ... I feel a little letdown ... I read through 12 pages of posts & NOBODY got traded? :lol: ... just consider it another lesson learned, if Schefter's not reporting it, it ain't true ... really ... I've noticed he scoops a lot of the specific-team NFL Insiders on breaking news about their teams and seems to have an inside track on a lot of stories, :mrgreen:. Sometimes it seems like the team-guys just follow his twitter & report after the fact.

Chris, if we trade Ingram that leaves only Pierre, who's a 10-12 touches per game guy...

You may get by with 2-3 run plays/draws with Sproles, but you start running him more at his size between the tackles, one of those meat grinders will be there anticipating for him in the right run lane and then he's done at his size...

While I like Robinson so far, there's still some development and maturation needed for him to become a real solid pro...

If we were to trade Ingram, it would have been in the first round of the draft to get an Outside Linebacker and allowing us to acquire another RB to develop and learn the system in the offseason...

We've got three RB who've got it down, so let's roll with that and maybe get the Ingram Express rolling for a change with 15 touches a game...
