Re: Ingram- What do we do with him?
Loomis made a horrible decision trading back into the first round to draft him. Of course hindsight is always 20/20 but it will go down as a huge draft blunder. Nobody's perfect and Loomis is no exception.

Re: Ingram- What do we do with him?
IMHO, it's always detrimental for a team to give up multiple picks for a player. Rarely does it ever work out positively. Therein lies the main problem with Ingram, heightened expectations for which he has not lived up to.

Re: Ingram- What do we do with him?
Well, at least we know what we can get from him. 8 for 20 yards or 9 for 11 yards. Maybe a fumble or 2. Short yardage failures.
Ingram just can't lower his pad level down before contact. And even if he DOES actually manage to get north-and-south, he can't get his pad level low at contact. This is BAD for a "short yardage" back. You wonder why he falls more often than not on first contact? This is the reason. PT and Sproles can get the pad level low at contact, which is why they are typically falling forward after contact and are able to drive. His vision is pretty sad, too. Keep feeding him until he figures this out? Well, Payton is a gambler, but the offense will struggle if/until he figures this out. |

Re: Ingram- What do we do with him?
His vision is bad because his head is down and he's looking at the ground. Watch that last try from the one yard line. Might as well close his eyes.
