I wanted him away from the ball on key downs, not hurt.

I wonder if IR is looming for Mark Ingram? He missed the last 1/2 of 2010 because of this.

I guess if so it may open the door for Cadet or Robinson to shine.

I think if MI couldn't practice at all this week then Sean wouldn't try and start him would he?

I hope Khiry gets some touches and doesn't fumble. I still see Cadet as more of a ST guy...

ok no use arguing anymore about it i can see its a no win situation just depends on who comes up with the suggestion lol

I see Cadet as a scat back type (a mini-Sproles)
I see Robinson as an all-pourpose back (a mini-PT)

But I think they both play ST's pretty well.

Have Akiem Hicks step on his foot. Brilliant! Why didn't we think of that sooner.

Look on the bright side, look what they've done to the market for underperforming running backs.

Colts just got Richardson for a 1st round pick. Damn why couldn't that be us!!!!!

We could use that 1st round pick .. probably trade it for more late round picks where we get most of our stars Lol.

Because Loomis and Payton screwed up drafting Ingram and are too stubborn to admit it... So we're destined to watch Ingram get stopped at the line of scrimmage for many games to come.

I kept wishing Ingram would turn the corner but that's like wishing the people who make elevator music would also make stair music. Ain't gonna' happen.

You know I feel the same frustration about Malcolm Jenkins, he was drafted higher than Ingram!! Burns me to know end.

For the Ingram Haters

Saints' Drew Brees defends teammate Mark Ingram | New Orleans Saints | The Sun Herald

Give the guy a line ...

Re: For the Ingram Haters

Of course a player like Brees is going to defend his team mate. What do you expect him to say.

1 play.... He didnt mention the 100+ others.

Re: For the Ingram Haters

While I admire drew for sticking up for his teammate I don't think he believes what he says. Now, I definitely think we can come up with more creative ways of using ingram instead of making him our "power" back but at the end of the day, I'm just not seeing the production. Hope he turns it around but I'm skeptical at this point.

Re: Ingram- What do we do with him?

Well he didn't practice on Wednesday. Which makes me look at that picture Oak posted, and now I actually DO think I see Ingram's TOE and FOOT getting all jammed up.

Not making excuses for him. But I'll tell you what, on page 23 of this thread, I'm starting to feel in my gut that if the toe thing is anything more than trivial, if there is ANYTHING to it at all, if it's anything more than stubbed....then this could be a perfect excuse to sit Ingram without "benching" him, and let somebody else take a shot. Saves face for everybody. Suit him up, but sideline him for a few weeks, put someone else out there, and if someone else gets a hot hand, you quietly inactivate Ingram and let him slip him into non-dressing oblivion.

I keep going back to the body language from Brees and Payton after that failed 4th down attempt. Haven't seen anything lke it recently. And for Payton to come right out like that and say it was his OWN fault, I think that means he won't let it happen again. Meaning he won't let HIMSELF (Payton) get himself into a situation where Ingram can fail him. That's what I think he's really saying.

Team Captain being politically correct..........what a concept.

Of course, he's going to say that.

lol Brees has to say good things about his Ingram... I bet PT n Sproles r always crackin up sayin suff bout him hahaha that would be funny to listen ....

Supertek 09-19-2013 03:14 PM

Re: For the Ingram Haters

That's funny AllSaints. Look a power back he is not and I dont think we have one on the team. The hardest I can remember seeing PT run was that game in Chi Town that was impressive. Say what you want about Ingram but the boy flatout can't run. If he tried to do the Reggie slide to the left and right he would be averaging about -3.2 YPC. Can't make the guy be something he is not and he is going to cost us a game if they keep pushing Him in there. I want Him to be successful but my glasses aren't as rosie as Payton's.

I don't ever want to hear anyone say Saints fans are the best. From what I've seen over the last couple of years, Saints fans aren't even close to being among the NFL's best.

Saint fans are every bit as bad as Falcon fans, and thats disgusting.

How so?

I'm not under any delusions that Saints fans are "the best" because I've run into a whole lot of grade-A dickheads in my time, but at least they're loyal.

And saying Ingram stinks out loud doesn't mean you're "disgusting", it means you're observant.

I haven't been on this forum long but I'm not sure where this came from. Can you expand on how you came to this conclusion?

It goes way beyond constructive criticism, and way beyond Mark Ingram.
