I'm starting to worry that SJB was a bad pick. We have an UDFA CB playing CB while SJB is riding the pine.

Hopefully its just a case of Dixon playing so much better than anyone thought, another diamond in the rough.
White is ony going to get better.I got Dixon pushing Robinson if he goes down, maybe if he don't. Robinson needs some good games to change things around. How do you think Bush has been? With the tools in the secondary if they got there crap together as one, we might get by with the inside lb.ers sloth like movement, they should concentrate at least shoring up the run. I wish we would trade to get a stud ILB. we could afford it.

I've never been impressed with Bush. He's an OK starter, but certainly nothing special. He's often way out of the picture when a WR catches the ball.

We could do worse, and have, but he's just average in my opinion.

I believe that's improper coaching or just plain bad instincts. None of our players ever appear to be a prime position helping each other out making plays on the ball. It always seems to be single coverage and none of our players seem to flow to the ball as quickly as Carolina or Seattle or any other team that creates any turnovers. That could be the reason for lack of turnovers/ plays on the ball, but it sure isn't fun to watch.

I think they're just playing too far off the ball or too spread out.

+1 Rez.

The LB position has to become a priority in next years draft. And I don't mean selecting guys in the 4th, 5th rounds either.

I was watching that LB Shazier (rookie) kid for Pittsburgh last night. Where ever Cam Newton thought of running, there Shazier was.. on a B line to make the tackle for minimal gain OR to wipe him out.

We need someone like that to arrive with bad intentions at the LB position.

We already have a Shazier-type player in Vaccaro. If we are going back to the defense we used last year, like the ESPN article today said, then we are set up with a lot of pursuit speed at the second level.

---------Bush---------------------Byrd----------

White--------------Vacarro------------------Lewis

-----Galette----------Lofton--------Hawthorne----

------Jordan-------- Bunkley---------Hicks--------

This is a setup that gives you tons of flexibility because Vaccaro can move practically anywhere on the field pre-snap. I do not understand why we abandoned it early in this season but if the Triplett article is correct we're going to see a lot more of the 2013 style defense in the coming weeks.

True. I'd prefer if we got Hawthorne off the field all together. I've been clamoring for James Harrison for a while now. Looks like he's back with the Steelers, but I definitely feel we could've have benefited from his mean streak and attitude.

He is O.K., I want him to hit more, I like his pop.It has took a long time for me to warm up to him I hope he stays solid. Average can be good.
