i still think he is getting kinda of a bum wrap. It will be interesting to see if he does turn into this year highly rated ILB that drops like a rock. been more than a few over the past few years.

Bernardrick McKinney and Anthony Stevens paired up together might just be the 34 ILB mix of the draft.

Denzel Perryman Miami, after watching 3 games of his this last season, I really think he looks like he has the speed of a young Ray Lewis and the hitting ability of Vaughn Johnson

I won't be so harsh as to say "looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane" as we've heard about him, but where's the production? I remember watching Mississippi State games last season specifically for McKinney and not seeing him do anything. With his size and speed he should have separated himself from the pack.

There seems to be a lot of sentiment about a shift back to a 4-3 since we brought back Dennis Allen and never really seemed dedicated to acquiring the pieces to run a 3-4... But it was Sean Payton's decision to switch to a 3-4 so it's confusing. Ellerbe wasn't really a fit in Miami's 4-3 and we brought him in so I have to think we're finally going to commit to the 3-4.

Wow, 91 pages huh?

This draft is going to be crazy because we have so many needs... I think I saw somebody mention that other than QB, RB, and S, there really isn't a position that I feel really good about. I don't think there will be an OL worth the value of the 13th pick when we come up, even though I think that may be our most important need. There are tons of high-end pass rushers in this draft, but the elite guys will probably be gone by 13. We could use another CB. We could use a WR. So many possibilities... if I was going to take a stab at it, I'd guess pass rusher with 13 and OL with 31... address WR and LB in 2nd and 3rd round since those appear to be pretty deep groups.

Ellerbe dead money in the last two years is ZERO. so how long he is around seems to be up to him and his play.

I agree that is my biggest fear also. pretty shallow at the top of the draft it would appear.

now here is a twist. say we are sitting at 13 with nothing falling into our laps. all may not be lost

I see houston as a possible trade down. they and miami have pretty much the same shopping list. if both top RB are on the board we may get a call to move back a couple of spots.

see i was ready to use a third on RB myself plus SP loves to over pay for a RB and well knee injuries are not what they use to be i guess.

True... He may have underachieved in Miami after receiving a ridiculous contract and now he'll play harder regardless of scheme. I don't know... There are too many question marks at LB and even with a glut of picks I don't know if we'll be able to solve it. Ideally our LB's in a base 3-4 will look like this post draft:

Jack- Junior Galette (But hopefully not... I'm over him. Give me a different guy in the draft.)
Will- Dannell Ellerbe
Mike- Stephone Anthony
Sam- Anthony Spencer
