Gotta disagree...

I think we gotta stay with getting bigger on the defensive line and continue with bigger linebackers...

Only if the big LBs can be in the right place and make a tackle. Versus running themselves outta the play and then racking up some stats by chasing them down from behind.

I would love to see us take Marcus Peters at 31

i am so on the fence with this one. love the steal and i love all that i am hearing about him

but

he moved in with Lynch and well that could be a good thing or a bad thing. lol

then again

after last year do we really have a strong enough locker room to help deal with him?

there is this

at least he would not pull a Greene on you.

His situation to me seems more like a personality conflict with a couple coaches bent on setting an example.

While I agree a strong locker room is important, so is a strong defense.

Why is it that New England can take "problem players" and turn them into solid starters with without public incidents?

Do we have the coaches to handle it?

I would love to see Brandon Browner & Keenan Lewis take a guy like Peters under their wings...

Notes:

Been reluctant to post this mock at the risk of Hagan, Sarik or 76 requesting a psych consult or Tom Benson ed. straight jacket for that matter, so fine, I'll bust right through denial and state my mancrush/fear with Beasley is surging...

Beasley is gonna be a game changer with a rarer skill set for his position...

Liken making a bold move like this to the four point swing play in basketball; and I'd rather have him with us twice a year against ATL than against us twice a year...

To maximize his set and to address shallow depth at DE, with pick 31 I took Carl Davis out of Iowa who can play multiple positions along the defensive line; when adjectives like 'immovable' are used in his scouting reports, that's the guy I want setting the edge allowing Vic to do his thing...

In the second round went back to Clemson and got Stephone Anthony who's just now starting to show the higher ceiling than what many thought after his Senior Bowl and Combine performances; this is not only upgrade at the neglected MLB position, this is establishing elite talent at yet another position...

Payton stated he wanted highly motivated players and who best exemplifies that than OL Ali Marpet out of little-known Hobart College; another guy who did what was asked of him at the Senior Bowl and just killed the Combine...

While we now have a pair of respectable cornerbacks (best in the league according to NFLN talking @$$hat Deion Sanders), but I want to start developing size and youth there and Eric Rowe is sitting there in the third; and as he ages and slows, he can also move to safety - gotta love those flexible position guys...

Now I didn't just totally lose my mind to get Beasley, I turned my Ben Grubbs fifth round pick into a early fourth round pick and got a guy who should be ready to step in as an OT for the Saints as early as late this season or next...

In the fifth, I got some of that ability Graham offered in the red zone and got a former QB turned TE in Bell outta of OU; he's still learning the position so that ceiling there is encouraging...

I was as surprised as anybody that the strongest DL/NT at the combine came from my own state N'Western St LA; then I heard Belichick took an interview with him; then the NFLN did some columns and posted links to his film; this guy would be perfect behind Bunkley, Jenkins tutuoring and learning because this guy's a beast...

Last upon reading an article regarding NFL bloodlines and sons of NFL alum chasing the dream, I learned about Jake Kumerow; saw some of his film and workout and thought, could a lightning strike twice for us in the seventh with a big, tall overlooked WR?!?
