He must be gawd-awful. I rarely use the word bust about a young player, but I can't remember a better candidate for the bust label over the last 10 years. I do remember PFF pointed out that he had a few snaps, and gave up a TD on a blown assignment. We coulda had Marcus Martin!!! |

I don't know what to think here!!
1. Either he's a suprize super-star waiting to be unvailed next season. 2. Slower than expected progess like JR. did 3. Secondary coach might not know how to get him there.(I'm leaning hard this way) 4. No talent what to speak of(I don't think this, kid has tools) |

IIRC CB is one of the hardest positions to master technique wise in the NFL along with QB and WR. I'm just hoping that the talent is there, he just happened to be much more raw than the coaches originally thought. |

I think what happens is the coaches set up a "plan" for young guys and don't care to deviate from it. |

That is a learned attitude, and maybe they don't see how he's going to learn it as the weakest link on a crap defense. the kid was a project anyway, there's no harm in taking your time with him. It's not like we need him out there trying to get a win.

I think it says more about this coaching staff's inability to develop defensive talent. No one questioned his physical abilities and CB is not incredibly difficult to grasp. He played very well in college but now he doesn't even know what a football looks like apparently. |

Sick of us going for these "project" players because they MIGHT be half decent in 4 years time
Go for the NFL ready player!!! |
