Re: Saints Trade Graham to the Seahawks

Wow. I commented on it at the time, I think Jimmy was in big trouble after that preseason game where he dunked the ball a SECOND time and Payton yelled at him. You don't cross or disobey Payton like that, and live to tell the tale. Plus, as PFT pointed out, there was really not much correlation between Graham’s performance and the team's success. We won with him, we won without him. We lost with him in the lineup, and sometimes we won or lost without him when he was injured. It's not like he was carrying the whole team on his back or anything.

I concur, and Brees gonna be traded next year if we don't make the super bowl, playoffs will not be enough to save his job. Mark my words

It's easy to make the argument that we were better without him

The game vs Steelers he did not play and Brees spread the ball like it was 2009 all over again, 5 TD's and receptions to like 11 different receivers.

Love it! JG is good but he was not the same after his injury. To get a All-pro center and 2 picks this year is one hell of a deal!

Re: Saints Trade Graham to the Seahawks

It is true.

I am speechless.

I do not know what to think.

I get the business end of the NFL Not For Long and no one stays with one team by choice and by NFL team 's business of drafts, trades, etc.

I get it. I GOT THAT. Salary room. Rebuilding. Freeing up money to draft, trade for spots you need.

JGraham, gone. I just cannot talk right now.

Yeah apparently he wants the rest of his contract guaranteed.

Re: Saints Trade Graham to the Seahawks

To have to trade what you have to get what you need. JGraham was k last year.

Ehhh, I just do not know about this one. I see him doing wonderful at SS like Sproles did just fine at PE.

It is done. Over.
Best to JGraham for all he gave to his time here on and off the field.

Here comes Unger an SS 1st draft pick..
It is still early and so who knows....the trades are not over and the draft is not here yet.

Re: Saints Trade Graham to the Seahawks

I don't think he gets traded if he remained healthy and put up 1,500 yds and 15 TDs in 2014. This is the what-have-you-done-for-me-lately league after all.

Not loving the trade yet, but definitely not hating it. 80% positive I guess. And a little surprised this is getting such positive feedback here.

I hope that Jordan one stays a rumor. When he's on his game, he's a game changer.

Me too, what's the point in trying to upgrade our defense by trading our best defensive lineman.

Honestly, No. Period. End of discussion.
Quote:

To me he was the best WR in college last year.
Top five offense.
Bottom 5 defense.

The math is simple. Draft, or trade picks, for productive defensive players. The only exception to this is drafting studs for the offensive line.

Colston, Cooks, Stills, Toon. Is there any reason we need another WR?

The Saints do not need offensive skill players. So the answer is no.

He's Way too inconsistent (see Will Smith)...and with his rookie option set to expire we can't afford him...

Time is now, move him now...

Younger, Faster, Stronger, Hungrier > BETTER...

No one is safe after a year like 2014. Especially on the defensive side. I'll take another first round pick for Cam Jordan.

This is a deep draft in the first 75 players...

Looks like Mr. Ireland is selling the team on a youth movement and power football...

All depends on the scheme.
If Payton and Allen want to change to a 4-3 then i think he is tradble but not in a 3-4

I an glad puddin is gone. Unger and a 1st great trade. As far as Jordan goes in a 3-4 he's a little light, 300+ pounders up front.
