New Orleans Saints, defensive lineman Cameron Jordan working on contract extension
New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton said the team has been in discussions with defensive lineman Cameron Jordan about a contract extension.
During the NFL owners meetings on Wednesday, Payton said Jordan was a key part of the team's future and General Manager Mickey Loomis and Jordan's representatives were working on a deal for the Saints' 2011 first-round pick. Jordan enters 2015 in the last year of his rookie deal. The Saints picked up Jordan's fifth-year option, which will pay the 6-foot-4, 287-pounder a shade under $7 million next season. read more | |
