Deuce is lazy?
Since this seems to be burning out, I\'ll make this quick:
Scotty, I wasn\'t clear when I said in passing motion - what I meant is that a passing stance is much more dangerous for the ball than a running stance - as when passing one holds the ball back and/or back and up and usually with one hand for stability and only one hand on gripping. An RB can protect the ball with a two handed grip and covered with his arms. A QB will many times not have his arms covering the ball on a passing play. I\'m not terribly interested in arguing about fumbles, but I think the fact that a QB is more frequently in a passer stance as oppsed to a running stance when he gets hit is the main reason for the disparity in fumbles between QBs and RBs (though I think the other factors I listed are also relevant). Sorry I wasn\'t clearer on what I meant there. |
