Bryce Harris? This guy is a turnstile & no better than Lelito.

Jahri should retire.

What will Evans do this time around? As someone said he was not better than Lelito last year.

"CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports the Eagles have "indicated a willingness" to trade G/C Stefen Wisniewski."

Now that's a good player I wouldn't mind having.

Sad thing is now the Saints will want him so as to give up a draft pick...

When he's been available in free agency!!!

The Eagle reserve lineman we want is G/T Matt Tobin - he's the one...

I think we can put to rest whether or not we should have cut Evans considering even a team with an atrocious O-Line has let him go.

Yeah, Lelito was grading better so get rid of Lelito for Evans...:censored:

Patriots Release Josh Kline
September 7th, 2016 at 7:56am CST

It has been a weird 24 hours for Josh Kline. On Tuesday, he was reportedly traded to the Eagles, only to have Philadelphia shop him immediately after acquiring him. Then, he was removed from the trade, but not for a physical issue. This morning, the Patriots released him, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com (on Twitter). Josh Kline (vertical)

Kline, 26, joined the Patriots in 2013 as an undrafted free agent out of Kent State. After getting four starts in his first two seasons, Kline became a full-time starter last year. In November, the Pats extended the guard through the 2017 season. The deal carried a base value of $3.3MM with a ceiling of $4.9MM. For one reason or another, neither the Patriots nor the Eagles were interested in paying that out.

Last year, the advanced metrics at Pro Football Focus ranked Kline No. 37 among all guards in the NFL out of 81 qualified players. PFF gave Kline a better grade for his run blocking ability (78.5) than his pass blocking (67.9), resulting in a 73.6 overall score. In 2015, PFF considered him roughly even in both areas.
Wonder if we take a look?

Maybe not:

Re: 2016 Saints Free Agency

There's no upgrade if we bring in Kline. I think we're rolling with Peat and Lelito for better or worse.

Desperation mode. At this point Evans is below average NFL starter. Great career but he is done. Our O-line have been underperforming for years. It's all on GM and coaching staff.

At this point (last season) Jahri Evans was the 28th rated OG according to PFF. That puts him at above average given there are at least OG's 64 that started last year. He knows the system and knows the position. I don't see it as desperation, but as taking advantage of a opportunity.

Well if 32 teams start 64 guards and Evans while injured was ranked 28th it still puts him comfortably in the top 50% of guards

Of course that makes too much sense for the sky-is-falling crowd.

Evans knows our system and can plug and play week one

Now let's get a solid starter guard in a trade or FA

wish Brees had pulled the trigger earlier

then again we didn't know our OL had as huge of issues till pre season

Agree with another guard being signed or traded for. I would rather have a bird in the hand than a bush in my face or a bush in my face with my bird in my hand? awwww hell you get the point!

It wasn't Brees waiting. It was Loomis.

Louis Vasquez is still without a job despite market need...

Several teams need help at guard and Vasquez is unsigned...

Workout with Titans left the GM and HC unimpressed..
