Re: 2016 Saints Free Agency
So this is looking more like agent-player driven...
And, I really don't care for Mark Ingram's two-cents on premature personnel matters... Imagine you're one of the current Saints receivers; gotta think that it's disrespectful of the guys that are already here... |
Re: 2016 Saints Free Agency

Re: 2016 Saints Free Agency
Greg Hardy seems to be a waste of good football talent.
Walter Thurmond retired earlier this summer ... Amini Silatolu could help a team this year. |
Re: 2016 Saints Free Agency
I would've thought that Vasquez would find a new home relatively easily... I wonder why it hasn't happened?!

Thurmond retired? Let's see what happens in Week 4... Quote:
I'd really like to bring in Brian Hartline or Anquan Boldin to shore up the back end of the WR corps; I'd have concerns if Boldin could accept a supporting role at this stage of his career and allowing the emergence of Michael Thomas... |

Nonetheless, Vasquez probably would command more than the Saints may be willing to allow... And I'd say the Saints are really committed to giving Peat/Lelito at guards a go this season... |
Re: 2016 Saints Free Agency
One of two possible remaining guards may be coming off the free agent list...

Amini Silatolu? hmmm

Re: 2016 Saints Free Agency
Believe we've got the studs and depth for the offensive line...
More concerned for wide receiver depth, guess we'll see what we have in camp before signing a FA... |

We seem to like the same players, perhaps we should look at whom they've released...

If the Saints would have interest in Freeney, there's certainly alot of chatter...

Really on the fence re: Hakeem Nicks signing; have concerns team chemistry concerns as to how he'll fit...

Not sure if he makes the roster down in New Orleans. Maybe there to push Coleman? We shall see. |
Re: 2016 Saints Free Agency
This league is as much about Attrition if nothing else...
We've got one Rush Linebacker/Edge Defender (Kikaha) likely lost for the season; Edebali didn't practice yesterday nor through OTAs; Rookie UDFA Pettway is PUP... Our Left Tackle Armstead started PUP and now Rylker Matthew may have a torn meniscus cartilage which retards his development; Peat will likely be able to handle Left Tackle should it become extended duty, but now guard is thin and we need someone to step up (e.g. Landon Turner)... Here are some of the elephants in the room right now... Some of the Top NFL free agents still available 1. Nick Foles, quarterback 2. Dwight Freeney, defensive end 3. Donte Whitner, safety 4. Louis Vasquez, guard 5. Brian Hartline, wide receiver 6. Chris Culliver, cornerback 7. Leon Hall, cornerback/safety 8. Mike Neal, defensive end/linebacker 9. Amini Silatolu, guard 10. Walter Thurmond, safety and perhaps the biggest elephant in the room - Greg Hardy, defensive end |

kevin White? short, not to fast and stubby but solid quickness and reaction skills.

Re: 2016 Saints Free Agency
Guess we need more CBs for reps in camp?!?
From what I'm seeing and reading, this year's talent pool at CB may be the best the Saints have ever had... |

Re: 2016 Saints Free Agency
Freeney doesn't worry me, felt we had better in-house already...
But, gotta wonder if Greg Hardy's name is sticking out a little more in Saints personnel discussions? |
Re: 2016 Saints Free Agency
We should absolutely get this guy in to shore up out WR corps...
Cooks, Thomas and Snead will be a force, for sure; so why not get an insurance plan in a legit vet?!? |
