Strange to be even in the mix
Maybe they are not confident in Lewis staying fit long term. That secondary could be something special though. Norman -Lewis - Breaux-Williams

Maybe they move Williams to Safety

I can only surmise that this corresponds with a Brees restructure, and maybe a Byrd restructure as well. Hell, probably 3 or 4 more restructures too.

Re: 2016 Saints Free Agency

Yeah easy, small cap hit this year and Brees extension
59ml of cap space next year, though Brees eats a chunk of it

Good point. We can't afford a big hit this year, but the next few years look great.

We have a 3 or 4 years Brees window, max out the cap every year until its over. Don't cut costs yet while we have a superbowl QB on the squad.

Whatever it takes.

I just saw on wiki this receiver is a free agent. And I don't really know if he was even bad for KC. He's got the size we want for sure and Payton said speed is just a bonus so.......

Where is this MO Wilk stuff coming from? Are we actually in the running to trade for him?

Yeah, but he's trending up now...

Definitely showed he's getting smarter by signing with the winning kids...

And he'll be a very experienced special team monster who can spot start without much drop-off...

We've really added some great depth at linebacker this offseason and the FO deserves a hat tip...

He always does. According to NFL Network records, Laurinaitis has missed just 21 snaps in his entire career, playing 7,498 of a possible 7,519 snaps over seven seasons.

Exactly; now he may continue to break down, but this has been his only limiting injury in his career to date...

But what has impressed me is the way he approached the coaches and secured contact info for his new teammates to rally the troops now, during the offseason...

When I look at some of the talent that is acquired in UDRFA, and the advantage they have over a sixth, seventh round pick, the more I believe the NFL draft should be ten rounds...

Re: 2016 Saints Free Agency

I dont see why its not
To be honest if rather be a UDFA than a late 6 round or 7th round pick. At least you can join a team that suits you better as it stands.

Make the draft 10/12 rounds up the roster to 60 players and scrap practise squads.

I think they are thinking that with the shorter field positions they will have more opportunities to score because the opposition will have lesser time to adjust.

It's always better if you're an UDRFA after the mid-fifth round...

This guy is legit NFL starter. Maybe we can give them a player not a future pick. What do they need? I would give them Spiller for Leary. They have Elliot so Spiller could be tempting as 3rd down back.

They could use some defensive help... But we're not exactly in a position to deal away defensive players. The only starter I could see us parting with is John Jenkins because he's entering a contract year and I think Tyeler Davison could develop into that role. But who knows if the Cowboys would have any interest.
