Sleeping is Darren Woodson who predicted the Saints to finish last in the division yesterday on NFL Live. Pundits don't seem to understand two critical points: 1. The Saints have finished 7-9 the last two years with historically bad defenses. Not just bad for a season. Bad in NFL history. 2. All signs point to the defense not being historically bad a third year in a row. Improvements are evident in scheme, personnel, discipline, and health. So if you can win 7 games with virtually no defense, then what's the expectation when the Saints have a halfway decent defense? Don't need to look far back: 2013 came in with a 11-5 record. Super Bowl Championships: New Orleans Saints:1, Carolina:0, Atlanta Chokers: STILL ZERO
Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good. |
