This make no sense. They didn't sign Cortland, they cut Spiller. I am ASSUMING, I think they were gonna protest. No way will this come out publicly. It just don't make any sense both played admirable during preseason...... Again, I am assuming

Neither played all that well in preseason. And in the most important game in 2016 so far, Spiller was a healthy scratch.

We needed a roster spot for a CB and Spiller was the most expendable, but I am also assuming as well.

I have no doubt if ANY of us were sitting there in that room when they made this decision that we would have done the exact same thing knowing everything about the situation.

Who else should have been cut instead? Cadet clearly outperformed him and he plays every special teams unit. Lasco and Murphy also, and they're young and talented.

I can't point to one player on our roster who should have been cut instead of Spiller.

You could almost make a case for Brandon Coleman, but with 6 RBs on the roster; Spiller was expendable...

Logic. Amazing when one actually uses it.

And maybe Kuhn, but Coleman and Manhertz were likely in their cross-hairs as well as Spiller.

But as you said, the most expendable position was RB, and Spiller was the weak link.
