Re: 2018 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
Get the Saints making the move to sign Meredith if they didn't feel comfortable bring back Snead, it made a lot of sense four months ago, but...
In light of the developments of Training Camp and PreSeason, what blackandgold expressed mathematically does seem to be logical - now... In fact, if I were setting the roster for this season, at this point, I'd keep still keep six, but guys might just look like: WR-X (2) 13 - Michael Thomas, 18 - Keith Kirkwood (UDFA) WR-Z (2) 10 - Tra'Quan Smith (R3, #91), 17 - Michael Floyd (FA 2018) WR-S (2) 80 - Austin Carr, 87 - Brandon Tate (FA 2018) Meredith is having all kinds of issues getting up to speed, so maybe former Saints personnel man Ryan Pace really knows what he's doing? Can't help but wonder if Ginn could still fetch us a fourth/fifth round pick? Post June 1st cap hit for trading him would be $1.0mil hit with $3.5mil savings vs cutting him would be a $1.5mil hit with $3.0mil savings... Anyways, it was only one game so all this may still be premature, but it's going to be an interesting week till 9/1/2018, NFL Cut Down Day... We could always declare Meredith for Injured Reserve, Option to Return... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

And hell, then there is TLL who has done nothing but stepped up every time he gets the call. It’s going to be tough. We are loaded at receiver. |

And for Payton to call out a player in front of the press, I'd be worried about my security deposit if I'm Ginn right now... |
