Re: 2018 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook

Since the league has adjusted the kickoff rules for 2018, I wonder if (if any) that will have any impact with the Saints and how the 53 man roster will shake down? It will be very interesting to see who Coach Payton "hides" the last 2 pre season games in efforts to slide them over to the practice squad.

The prevailing thought around the league seems to be that teams will keep more depth at CB and S. We typically keep 5 CB’s and 5 S’s but I wouldn’t be surprised at all if we kept as many as 7 CB’s thanks to the special teams prowess of Hardee, Maulet and Jamerson.

Jamerson was a better safety than cornerback that Payton & Allen have moved back to cornerback; so at ten (10) that would be fairly well covered...

Re: 2018 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook

I predict 7 corner backs to make the final 53.

Crawley
P Rob
Lattimore
P.J. (for now)
Hardee
Jamerson
Maulet

Think the way it works is if the music stops, you don't have a seat...

Fair enough but maybe Bell should have kept his old number . He's becoming a liability on the back end.

97 - Al-Quadin Muhammad ... IIRC he started with the 1's last pre season game. Don't think he made a play. Very quiet camp thus far.

Hopefully he gains momentum.

I don’t think Muhammad is going to make the team.
